Inbound/Outbound Spam Filter, DNS Round Robin, Backup MX, SMTP Relay Authentication, SMTP Load Balancer

I explained the Email Server in this video. Inbound and outbound spam filters, DNS RR or DNS Round Robin, Primary and Backup MX, SMTP Authentication, and SMTP Load Balancer have all been discussed.

To learn How an Email Server or SMTP server works. We must first learn about Email Protocols or SMTP Protocols. Otherwise, we won’t be able to understand the email working process. SMTP Protocol conversation between two SMTP servers illustrates how email works step by step. The Email Protocols are used before and after email is sent and received by the SMTP Server.

Here, I have described
(1) The Inbound Spam Filter, which scans inbound emails and delivers to the internal email server.
(2) The Outbound Spam Filter, which scans outbound emails and delivers to the internet.
(3) DNS Round Robin, which chooses mail server IP from a pool of multiple IPs. it is used for Inbound mail load balancing.
(4) Primary and Backup MX, this is for inbound email server failover, if the primary server goes offline then the secondary or Backup MX server receives all emails.
(5) SMTP Authentication, which is used for email relay control. When users send an email, before it is sent to the internet, they must be authenticated to see if they are allowed to send mail through the server, which is known as a relay control.
(6) SMTP Load Balancer, an SMTP load balancer is used when there is a high volume of email. It can be used for both inbound and outbound emails.
